Our eighth grade interdisciplinary project is titled "Diversity in Society." Answer the following question in 7-10 sentences. (10% of final grade)
Many have said that we live in a diverse society with diverse people, traditions, beliefs, and ideas. This diversity can be seen in your life, your school, your community, and your world. What does the word "diversity" mean to you? Use examples from your life.

I see many types of diversity on the news. When you watch the news you don’t only see black people getting in trouble. You see blacks, whites, Mexicans, Jamaicans. Haitians, etc. You see a diverse in genders, because you have males and females. You have a diverse in religions, for an example you have Muslims, Christians, Jews, Atheist, and also we have agnostics. Agnostic people doesn’t believe in god. Also on the news you see a diverse in hairstyles and dress codes.

I like how you not only focused on the big issues of diversity like race or gender, but also clothing and hairstyles. Are all diverse groups portrayed equally in the news?
